What is the Public Template Library?

The Public Template Library is a repository of industry-standard inspection templates, audits, and checklists. Curated by Algus and industry experts, this library provides a head start for organizations setting up their inspection programs.

Instead of building complex templates from scratch, you can browse the library, find a template that matches your use case, and import it directly into your organization.

Accessing the Template Library

To access and use a template from the library:

1. Navigate to Templates from the main menu.
2. Click the New Template button.
3. Select Use from Library (or Start from Library).
4. Browse or search through the categorized list of pre-built templates.

Filtering and Searching

• Use the Search bar to look for specific keywords (e.g., "Fire Safety", "Vehicle Pre-trip", "ISO 9001").
• Browse by Industry Categories (e.g., Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Hospitality).

Previewing & Selecting a Template

Before using a template:

1. Click on any template card in the library.
2. A preview window will open showing the template's description, question list, and form structure.
3. Click Use Template (or Select Template).
4. The template is instantly copied into your organization's template list as an editable Draft.

Customizing an Imported Template

Once imported from the library, the template is completely yours to modify:

1. Go to your Templates list.
2. Locate the imported template and click Edit.
3. Add, remove, or modify any questions, sections, or logic rules.
4. Click Publish to make the template active and available to your team.

Tip: If a library template is almost perfect for your workflow, import it and remove or edit the sections you don't need — it's much faster than building from scratch!

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Are templates imported from the Public Library shared with other companies/tenants?

No. Once you import a template from the Public Library, it becomes a private draft inside your specific organization's account. Any edits or customizations you perform are completely private to your tenant.

Can I submit my own custom template back to the Public Library?

No. The Public Library is curated exclusively by Algus safety and compliance experts to maintain industry standards. However, you can easily clone your own custom templates to reuse them internally across your organization.
